Opposites Attract (Gray x Reader) Pt. 5

    A now 22 year old _____ Fullbuster, yes Fullbuster, married of about a year and a half, sat at the bar in the guild hall eating a muffin and a big cup of soda talking to Lucy, Mira, Lisanna and Erza. The men in the guildhall sat at a random table talking about who knows what. _____ turned her head to a certain ice mage who also happened to be her other half, her husband. Feeling the gaze at his back he turned to his wife and smiles. The dragon slayer waves back and giggles before Natsu started snapping in front of Gray’s face to return him to their conversation.

    _____ had been tuning out her own conversation so when she turned back to the other girls all four sets of eyes were looking at her; two sets of brown and two sets of dark blue looked into (e/c). “What?” the brown haired female asked looking to her friends in confusion. “You have been eating a lot lately _____” Lisanna said starting the conversation up again. Taking a bit of her chocolate chip muffin she blinked. Swallowing she asked “Yeah your point I have just been hungry lately is that a problem? My brother eats way more than I do” she said simply looking to Lisanna then to the other three. “Yeah he does but you don’t. This isn’t normal for you and it is worrying us” Lucy added looking to _____ with worried eyes.

    _____ nods and replies “Yeah I suppose… just nearing that time of the month I guess.” Erza nods lightly “It’s not just that though, for the past… few weeks whenever we went on jobs you would be… moodier than normal. One minute your happy and excited then pissed off or sad” the scarlet mage commented looking to _____ confusion in her eyes. Mira sat there eyes looking to the dragon slayer, deep in thought thinking over what everyone has been saying.

    Shrugging _____ took a sip of her soda then said “I really haven’t noticed to be honest.” Mira then noticed something and walked from her side of the bar counter and over to _____; all four women looking to her skeptically. “Mira what are you doing?” _____ asked as Mira held out a hand to her to help her off the stool she was currently sitting on. Taking the hand the brunette carefully got off the stool and stood in front of the she-devil as her blue eyes looked at the married mage’s body. “_____, I am going to ask some personal questions, I want you to answer them truthfully aright? I have an idea of what is wrong with you” blinking the fire mage nodded looking to her older friend.

    “Do you think she is?” Lucy asked Mira a small smile on her face as she was putting everything together. Mira nods “Yes I do believe she is but I am not 100% sure yet” the three other mages nodded while _____ looked to Mira then the other confused “I am what?” Nobody answered the question as Mira asked her first “When was the last time you and Gray had sex?” the eldest Strauss asked bluntly a completely serious look on her face. _____ went wide eyed and looked away a deep blush on her face as she answered quietly “L-last night.”

    All the girls started giggling as Mira said “Jeez do you two get busy~!” blushing redder the tomato faced mage looked to the ground nodding. “I suppose you two are very sexually active so next question, do you get nauseous at all?” Mira started and Lucy added “When you are not on a vehicle?” knowing full well all dragon slayers got nauseous on those things. _____ thinks and nods “A little bit but I don’t always end up throwing up. Where is this going Mira?” the confused fire mage asked. A small giggle left Mira’s lips as she never answered _____’s question and asked her last one “Ok, when was your last period?” the blush that was starting to fade came back as _____’s mouth was agape in shock “U-um last month, I’m kinda late this mo-….. holy shit am I?” all the girls started to squeal in delight at the realization.

    Placing a delicate hand on _____’s belly she smiles nodding “I do believe you are.” Mira said taking a step back a smile on all the girl’s faces, including the soon-to-be mother’s. A giant bear hugged formed with _____ in the middle surrounded by her good friends. _____ smiles and giggles trying her best to hug everyone around her. Giggling the hug broke and the pregnant mage looked to the others as she said “Let me go tell Gray!” and with that _____ started running to the other side of the guildhall where her husband sat with her brother, Elfman, Happy, Lilly and Gajeel.

    Clearing her throat _____ stood beside Gray and Elfman. “Excuse me boys, may I speak with my husband a moment?” they all nodded and Gray stood up looking to _____ an eyebrow raised as he followed her to the back of the guild. Unknown to them Happy followed them to eavesdrop. Outside the guild _____ faced her husband a giant smile on her face making him smile too. “What’s up _____? Everything ok?” he asked a chuckle in his words at his wife’s happy yet secretive appearance. “I have some news for you, don’t worry it’s good” she says simply a smile still present on her face.  

    “Alright what is it?” the ice mage asked curious as to what this good news was. The female took one of his hands and placed it on her belly that was now slightly tougher than what it usually is; soft and a little flabby. The ravenette’s eyebrow raised and his gaze moved from his wife’s belly to her smiling face. “What does your belly have to do with the news?” giggling _____ smiles trying to have him figure it you. “Think Gray, look at me, and think about the last few weeks I’m sure you have noticed I have been acting strange lately” nodding the ice mage looked to the ground the hand that was on his wife’s belly now supporting his chin as he thought.

    An airy giggle escaped from the dragon slayer’s lips as she saw her husband deep in thought. After a moment of silence _____ leaned in and placed a delicate kiss upon his cold yet soft lips. Both sets of eyes closed for a moment but then opened when the kiss broke, blue looking into (e/c). “Gray, I’m pregnant” she said simply and quietly. “Oh your pregnant… wait, you’re what?! Pregnant?! We’re going to have a baby??!!” Gray said as it slowly sunk into his brain that his wife was pregnant and he was going to be a father.

    Happy heard from inside and quickly flew to over to Natsu and the others shouting the news for the whole guild to hear. This was unknown to the newly expecting couple.

    “Yes Gray, I’m pregnant and we are going to be parents” she said as Gray smiles wide and hugs her tight. A super excited ice mage picked his wife up off her feet and began swinging her around both of them giggling happy with the news of the pregnancy; even though it was a surprise they both accepted it whole heartedly. Placing the woman on her feet again the ice mage’s cold hands were placed on the warm cheeks on the fire dragon slayer both of them smiling. Lips connected in happiness as they kissed pulling each other closer. The kiss was short and sweet and they pulled apart. The now father-to-be went down on his knee and looked to the belly of his wife that in a few months would be stretched to accompany the growing addition to the Fullbuster family as well as the Fairy Tail family.

    Gray placed a delicate kiss against the cloth covered stomach making _____ giggle happily. “I’m Gray, I’m your daddy. I can’t wait to see you in a few months when you’re ready. I know I just found out about you but I know your mother and I already love you so much” with that said Gray stood up to be hugged by his happy wife as the peeping guild started cheering at the open doorway; Natsu and Happy at the front smiles on their faces. The mother and father to-be looked and laughed smiling. It was a happy day for everyone in fairy tail.
